Maple Barn






The Maple Barn is, for me, the highlight of Field Days. And the highlight of that highlight is the homemade doughnut draped in maple cream.

I approach the Maple Barn and my beloved doughnut slowly, walking around it, toward it and away, going to other things first, like the 4H barn or tractor pull. It's partly because I don't want my favorite part of Field Days to be over too soon, and partly because I feel that I should wait until after I've eaten something more substantial, like a corn dog.
