Views from outside and inside the shrine at El Pedimento. I learned that Juquila's symbol is a waterfall. I remembered what the curandera Elizabeth told us, two years earlier, as the river near her home was swollen and crashing with fresh clear water. She told us that so much rain was unusual for that time of year, that it was new energy coming into the world, down from the mountain.
